| Abstract: | OBJECTIVE To investigate the characteristics of cervical lymph node metastasis in salivary gland carcinoma.METHODS The clinical data of 815 cases with salivary gland carcinomas in Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology were reviewed.The influence factors including histopathology type,tumor grade,primary site, tumor size were analyzed.RESULTS The overall rate of cervical lymph node metastasis in salivary gland carcinoma was 11.53%（94/815）.The？rst three histopathology types with highest rate were squamous cell carcinoma,clear cell carcinoma,lymphoepithelial carcinoma and salivary duct carcinoma.The histopathology types with lowest rate were acinic cell carcinoma and polymorphous low-grade adenocarcinoma.The rate is significantly higher in submandibualr gland carcinoma than in parotid and sublingual gland（P0.05）.The higher rate was noted in the patients with T3 and T4 than T1 and T2 （P0.05）.CONCLUSION Histopathology type,tumor size,tumor grade and primary site are the important factors for the cervical lymph node metastasis in salivary gland carcinoma. |
