| Abstract: | OBJECTIVE To analyze related factors of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.METHODS The related factors are investigated through statistical analysis of questionnaires and medical records from 60 BPPV cases.RESULTS The ratio of BPPV in men and women is respectively 23%and 17%.The average age is（43.54±13.22）years.Patients aged ≥40 years account for 80%.45%（27/60）of cases developed secondary to other diseases.50%（30/60） cases had fatigue history before attack.32%（19/60） cases were involved with psychological stress and mental stimulation.Cases that ever suffered from respiratory tract infection and head trauma were 8.3%（5/60）and 18%（11/60）respectively.Cases suffered from inner ear disease account for 37%（22/60）.Cases with systemic diseaseaccount for 40%（24/60）.3.3%（2/60）of cases had family history.CONCLUSION 45%of BPPV cases has possible risk factors including fatigue,stress, inner ear diseases and cardiovascular diseases and other systemic diseases,while BPPV is more common in women and elderly people. |
