| Abstract: | This article is concered with oxidative degradation of chitosan and itsmolecular weight control, and the degradative kinetic is also studied. The results showthat The procedure of oxdative degraadattion is a rapid simple and convenient method,increasing slightly the amount of nitrite will reduce sharply the molecular weight of chitosan. The reciprocal of My of chitosan is directly proportional to reaction time, temperature, and the mole ratio of sodium nitrite to chiitosan respectively. |
