Abstract:Objective To study the vascular endothelial function in patients with type 2 diabetes by the technology of echo-tracking(ET).Methods ET technology was used to investigate the parameters,such as pressure-strain elastic modulus(Ep),hardening parameter(β),arterial compliance(AC),pulse wave velocity β(PWVβ) and augmentation index(AI) of the patients with type 2 diabetes.A total of 37 patients with type 2 diabetes were enrolled,male 19,female 18,aged 41-68 years old,mean age 64.50 years old.The patients were analyzed the correlation of these parameters with course of disease,age,body mass index(BMI),hemoglobin glycosylated(HbA1c),insulin resistance(IR) and complications.Results The course of disease was positively correlated with Ep,β and PWVβ(P 0.01),and negatively correlated with AC(P 0.01),and no correlated with AI.The age was positively correlated with β(P 0.05),and no correlated with Ep,AC,PWVβ and AI.There was no relationship between complicaton of hypertension and Ep,β,AC,PWVβ,AI.The HbA1c,HOMA-IR,BMI and Ep,β,AC,PWVβ,AI were unrelated also.Conclusion The vascular endothelial function in patients with type 2 diabetes is mainly related to the course of disease.The factor of age also plays a part in the changes of endothelial function.Endothelial function in damage is also hard to reverse even the blood glucose controlled well.
