Abstract: | We measured the peripheral visual acuity of a group of eleven older subjects (mean age 54.2 years) and a group of seventeen young subjects (mean age 22.1 years). Peripheral visual acuity was measured using Konig bars with critical detail subtending 2.4 and 4.8 minutes of arc. The older group showed a substantial reduction of peripheral visual acuity. |
