| Abstract: | Bromine-77 labeled primary, secondary and benzylic alkyl bromides have been prepared in no-carrier-added form by the reaction of the corresponding alcohols with Na77Br and chlorotrimethylsilane in acetonitrile solution. This represents a new and very simple method for radiobromination, and has been used to prepare 77Br-12-bromododecanoic acid useful for studying myocardial metabolism. |
