| Abstract: | The reproducibility and validity of subjective global assessment (SGA) of nutritional status were tested in 87 cases. SGA from 2 clinical examiners showed high interobserver reproducibility by Kappa test( P <0. 001). High correlation coincidence( P <0.01) was obtained as SGA compared with objective indices, e. g. serum albumin, transferrin etc. The differences of values of objective indices and the mortalities for the six months follow-up period among three nutritional grades were distinguishable statistically. It was suggested that SGA should be a practicable method in clinical use for its simplicity and fessibility. |
