| Abstract: | Left ventricular pseudoaneurysms, with or without overt ventricular rupture, are usually fatal in the absence of prompt surgical intervention. This report details the long-term survival of a patient who developed a left ventricular pseudoaneurysm following repair of ventricular rupture subsequent to replacement of the mitral valve, with spontaneous closure of the "neck" of the pseudoaneurysm. |
