蒲公英价廉、用广、效宏。功能清热解毒、消肿散结。擅长于消散痈肿、疔疮。广泛用于热毒症。不但对痈疮毒、疔疖有显著疗效，而且对肝火目疾、湿热黄疸、郁热胃痛、湿热痢疾、热淋症、燥热便秘、痰火瘰疬，热痹腰痛等多种疾病，或配伍应用，或单独使用，均有明显的治疗效果。
