Abstract: | With the identification of tumor antigens and a knowledge of how to vaccinate against them, the field of tumor immunology faces new challenges. In this article, the authors argue that successful immunotherapies of the future will activate anti-tumor T cells without inducing their anergy or apoptotic death. |
