EXAMINATION OF PERFORMANCE OF AUTO-OPEN-CLOSE CONTAINER FOR AUTOCLAVING |

| Abstract: | A new type of auto-open-close container for autoclaving of syringes was developed. On the lower part of lateral sides of the container, there are air holes which can open automatically to facilitate replacement of air in the container when the temperature rises above 50℃. After sterilization, the air holes can close automatically when the temperature reduces to 50℃ to prevent recontamination. By examination, it was found that all the syringes in the container could be sterilized satisfactorily after autoclaving at 121℃ for 30 min(with Bacillus stearothermophilus as the biological indicator). No recontamination of sterilized syringes in the container was found after storage for 2 weeks. |
