Abstract: | Intraarterial digital subtraction angiography (DSA) was used an an adjunct to interventional vascular procedures (embolotherapy and transluminal angioplasty) in 56 patients. The advantages of intraarterial DSA include improved contrast resolution, instantaneous subtraction capability, and immediate image availability. A considerable reduction in contrast dose and concentration, procedure time, and patient discomfort can be expected when interventional vascular procedures are performed with the assistance of intraarterial DSA. |
