Responsibility and the Orthodontist

Abstract

The Orthodontist requires a background of training in general dentistry, child care and in the specialty of orthodontics. He is thus equipped to guide the public and the profession on the importance to oral, dental and general health of informed management of the developing dentition. It is his responsibility to continue his education and that of his colleagues, and to foster interest in the advance of knowledge to the benefit of the public as a whole.
