Abstract: | Burning mouth syndrome is a fairly common condition. Contrary to popular belief, its management is successful in about 70% of cases--provided a structured protocol based on scientific evidence is adopted. Specialist advice must be sought in some cases, but many patients can be successfully treated in the primary care environment. |
