| Abstract: | A simple technique using a nasopharyngeal airway and a continuous positive airway pressure circuit has proved an effective alternative to a tight fitting nasal or face mask for delivery of continuous positive airway pressure. Nasal trauma, discomfort and mouth breathing are the main disadvantages. |
