湖沼地区化疗措施控制血吸虫病效果分析

目的 观察化疗措施控制湖区血吸虫病的长期效果。方法 以湖沼地区８个不同类型的血吸虫病流行区实施以化疗为主的防治措施，观察人群病情和草洲螺情的变化。结果 连续９年的观察显示，湖区洲岛型超重疫区化疗措施可使居民感染率从３０％以上降至１５％左右；流行严重的垸内水网型疫区，可使居民感染率从２０％降至１０％左右，洲垸型疫区居民感染率从１５％左右控制在１０％以下。

ANALYSIS OF EFFECTIVENESS OF CHEMOTHERAPY ON SCHISTOSONIASIS CONTROL IN MARSHLAND REGIONS

Objective To evaluate t he effectiveness of chemotherapy on schistosomiasis con trol in marshland regions. Methods Treat ment of schistosomiasis has been transformed by intro duction of praziquantel, which is effective generally in a single dose against the schistosome. period ic treatment was established as a central component of schlstosomiasis control in t his study. Results The data from nine surveys of marshland from 1990 to 1908 showed that the prevalence of schis- tosomiasis could he reduced by mass chemotherapy. In heavy areas of island subtype. the prevalence. can be reduced from above 30% to about 15 %. out the dike area. the prevalence can be decreased from 20% to about 10%. and within the marshland subtype area. tile prevalence can be decreased from above 15 % to under 10 %. However, the prevalence rose following the big floods in 1996 and l997. After that, the prevalence of schistosomiasis reduced gradually. Conclusion The The prevalence and density of infection of schistosome can be decreased by the periodic chemotherapy. but it was weak on the control of schistosomiasis transmission
