Abstract:Ultrasound is widely used as a popular imaging method because it is convenient without ionizing radiation.While biological effects and safety of diagnostic ultrasound also need to be taken seriously.The biological effects of ultrasound include thermal effects and mechanical effects.Extensive experiments have shown that ultrasound has different effects on different tissues and organisms.With the development of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and ultrasound elastography,the biological effects of these new ultrasound technologies have also been widely studied.This article reviews the biological effects and safety research of diagnostic ultrasound in recent years.
