Analysis of the correlation between TEG parameters and disease progression in patients with acute cerebral infarction

Objective To discuss the correlation between thromboelastogram(TEG)parameters and disease progression in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Methods A total of 106 patients with acute cerebral infarction were selected as the observation group.According to National Institutes of Health stroke scale(NIHSS)score,they were divided into mild group(NIHSS score<6 points,44 cases),moderate group(NIHSS score 6-16 points,32 cases),and severe group(NIHSS score>16 points,30 cases).Another 46 healthy subjects of the same period were taken as the control group.Comparison was made on TEG parameters[reaction time(R),clotting time(K),coagulation angle(αangle),maximum amplitude(MA),coagulation index(CI)]between the two groups and among the mild group,moderate group and severe group.Results The R(5.53±0.68)min and K(2.01±0.09)min of the observation group were shorter than(6.51±0.73)and(2.15±0.15)min of the control group,αangle(62.85±2.69)°and MA(68.53±3.51)mm were lager than(61.25±2.15)°and(62.41±3.16)mm of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in CI between the two groups(P>0.05).The R and K of the mild group were longer than those of the moderate group and the severe group,and theαangle and MA were smaller than those of the moderate group and the severe group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the R and K of the moderate group were longer than those of the severe group,αangle and MA were smaller than the severe group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in CI among the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion TEG parameters play an important role in the clinical diagnosis of acute cerebral infarction.It can evaluate the severity of the patient’s condition and play an important role in clinical targeted treatment.
