Follow-up observation of 6 patients with alimentary tract hemorrhage treated with large dosage of Yunnan Baiyao

Objective To discuss the clinical effect of large dosage of Yunnan Baiyao on patients with alimentary tract hemorrhage.Methods 6 patients with alimentary tract hemorrhage giving up hospitalization were treated with high-dose Yunnan Baiyao.The therapeutic effect of patients was followed-up and observed.Results After 3-4 d of discharge,hemorrhage stopped in 2 cases and did not show hematemesis and hematochezia;2 cases died eventually;2 cases still showed a small amount of alimentary tract hemorrhage.The patient was followed up 1 week after discharge and found that the patient still showed dizziness and palpitation;the patient showed obvious upper abdominal discomfort after eating liquid food,unable to get out of bed and defecate in patients with suspected intestinal vascular malformations and hemorrhage,the systolic/diastolic blood pressure was 90/50 mm Hg(1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa),did not show hematemesis or hematochezia,as well as discomfort after eating semi-liquid food,stool once with yellow color and small amount;In patients with hepatic cavernous degeneration,the systolic/diastolic blood pressure was 100/55 mm Hg,they did not show hematemesis and hematochezia,and unable to defecate;in patients with colon cancer,the systolic/diastolic blood pressure was 120/70 mm Hg and unable to defecate;1 patient with liver cirrhosis died eventually;in another patient with liver cirrhosis,the systolic/diastolic blood pressure was 80/50 mm Hg,and showed drowsiness.After being awakened,he could eat a small amount of liquid food,and his stool appeared as yellow watery.Among the 6 patients,5 patients had yellow stools;none of the 3 patients showed dizziness.After light activity,they did not show a series of discomforts such as shortness of breath and palpitation.The patients were followed up for 30 d.Among the 4 patients with gastric cancer,1 patient died of liver cirrhosis,and the cause of death was excluded from alimentary tract hemorrhage;the remaining 3 patients did not die and showed no signs of alimentary tract hemorrhage again.Conclusion Large-dose Yunnan Baiyao can improve the symptoms of alimentary tract hemorrhage patients to a certain extent,and has application value in emergency medication.
