PET图像与CT、MRI图像比较与融合的研究

摘    要:目的 将PET的功能代谢图像与CT、MRI的解剖图像进行比较与融合。方法 21例癫痫患者和53例肿瘤或疑为肿瘤患进行了PET检查。患者的CT、MRI资料通过扫描仪输入计算机。在融合软件“MPItool”中,通过调整PET的三维容积图像,找到与二维CT、MRI断面图像对应的层面进行比较与融合。结果 29个代谢改变病灶被准确定位于21例癫痫患者相应的MRI图像上。PET显示53个肿瘤阳性病灶亦定位于相应的CT或MRI图像上,其中10个病灶在CT、MRI报告中忽略。CT、MRI检测到的另外23个病灶PET显像没有摄取或摄取不高,最终都被证明为良性病变。结论 图像的比较与融合有助于更全面地了解病变的性质及周围解剖结构的关系。采用的融合方法简单、实用,临床可行。

A preliminary study on comparison and fusion of metabolic images of PET with anatomic images of CT and MRI
Abstract:Objective In order to anatomically localize metabolically changed lesions. Methods Twenty one epilepsy patients and 53 cancer or suspected cancer patients were involved in the study. The CT or MRI images were gotten from the patients' report films by a photo scanner, and then transferred to the PET workstation with a floppy disk. In a software called "MPItool", a fusion method was developed to match the slices of volume PET images with the correlative slices of CT or MRI images. Results Twenty nine metabolically changed foci were accurately positioned on 21 epilepsy patients' MRI images, while MRI alone had only 6 true positive findings. In 53 cancer or suspected cancer patients, 53 positive lesions in PET images were matched with the correspondent lesions in CT or MRI images, in which 10 lesions were missed in the CT or MRI reports;on the other hand, 23 lesions detected from the patients' CT or MRI images were negative or with low uptake in the PET images, and they were finally proved as benign. Conclusions Comparing and matching metabolic images with anatomic images can help to obtain a full understanding about the lesion and peripheral structures. The developed fusion method is simple, practical and useful for localizing metabolically changed lesions in clinical practice.
