基质金属蛋白酶9与创伤性脑损伤

摘    要:基质金属蛋白酶系(MMPs)是脑损害特异性血清标志物,其中MMP-9的作用尤为重要。MMP-9可破坏血脑屏障,促进脑水肿形成,诱导脑创伤后神经细胞的死亡。基质金属蛋白酶抑制剂能抑制受激后脑内MMP-9的活性,减轻脑水肿的程度,有利于维持神经元生存微环境的稳定。MMP-9的表达水平有可能作为判断脑创伤发展和预后的指标。

Abstract:Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs)are the brain-specific serum biomarkers. Matrix metalloproteinases -9 (MMP-9)is particularly important. MMP-9 can damage the blood-brain barrier, promote the brain edema and induce nerve cell after brain trauma to death. MMPs inhibitors can suppress the activity of MMP-9, alleviate cerebral edema,and maintain neuronal micro-environment. The level of MMP-9 may be used to assess the prognosis of pest-traumatic brain injury.
