| Abstract: | Concentrations of serum follicular stimulating hormones(FSH),interstitial cell-stimulating hormones(ICSH),of plasma estradiol(E_2),progesterone(P),testosterone(T)were determined by radioimmunoassay,in 30 male patients with gallstones and 23male patients with hepatic bile duct stones,and 20 male healthy subjects as control.Theresults showed that the P of the male patients with gallstones were higher as com-pared with the control(P<0.05).The T of the male patients with hepatic bile ductstones were significantly lower than those of control(P<0.01).In T and ICSH werelower male patients with gallstones than in hepatic duct stones,and E_2/T ratio rose.It was suggested that the synthesis or metabolism of pituitary-gonad axis hormones inmale patients with cholelithiasis was significantly abnormal. |
