POLARIZATION OF T CELL IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC HEPATITIS B DURING DIFFERENT COURSES

Objective To investigate the T cell polarization state in patients with chronic hepatitis B （CHB） during different courses, so as to provide the basis for antivirus therapy of CHB. Methods The frequencies of Thl, Th2, Tcl, Tc2 in peripheral blood were measured with flow cytometry and the levels of IFN-γ and IL-10 in serum were determined by EHSA in 20 cases of healthy control, and 43 cases of CHB patients with different courses. Results IFN-γ level in immune clearance group （99.7 ± 27.9）pg/ml] was higher than those in immune tolerance group （54.3 ± 16.8）pg/ ml ], low replication group （69.3 ± 14.4）pg/ml ], and healthy control group （58.6 ± 13.0）pg/ml ] （ P 〈 0.05 ）. IFN-γ level in low replication group was lower than in immune clearance group, but higher than in immune tolerance and control group （ P 〈 0.05）. IL-10 levels in 3 groups of CHB （ P 〈 0.05） were higher than in control group（ P 〈 0.05）. The frequency of Thl in immune cleranee group （ 19.15 ± 8.49） % ] was lower than in immune tolerance, low replication, and control group （27.04 ± 9.55） %, （25.56 ± 9.30） %, （26.42 ± 10.12） % respectively （ P 〈 0.05 ） ], The frequencies of r13a2 in 3 CHB groups were higher than in control group （ P 〈 0.05）. Tc1, Tc2 frequencies among 4 groups were not significantly different from each other. Conclusion T cells of CHB patients polarize to Th2 in immune tolerance stage, but to Thl in immune clearance stage, and also have relativey lower Thl response in low replication stage.
