Abstract: | Isolated idiopathic iliac artery aneurysm in the pediatric population is extremely rare. Aneurysms in children may be secondary to connective tissue disease, arteritis, or mycotic causes. presented here is the case of a 21/2-year-old female child who, despite the absence of these predisposing factors, presented with a single large iliac artery aneurysm which was successfully resected. The literature on this subject is reviewed. Only two other cases have been reported. |
