Observation of effect of liraglutide combined with insulin on intensive treatment of glucose and lipid metabolism in newly diagnosed obese type 2 diabetic patients

Objective To analyze the effect of newly diagnosed obese type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2 DM) patients receiving liraglutide combined with insulin therapy on intensive treatment of glucose and lipid metabolism. Methods 40 cases newly diagnosed obese T2 DM patients who received intensive insulin therapy in our hospital from June 2018 to June 2019 were selected as the control group, and 40 newly diagnosed obese T2 DM patients who were admitted to our hospital from July 2019 to July 2020 and treated with liraglutide on the basis of the control group were selected as the observation group. The indexes of blood glucose, insulin, blood lipid metabolism and biological indexes were compared between the two groups.Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in blood glucose and insulin indexes, blood lipid metabolism indexes and biological indexes between the two groups;after 1 month of treatment, the indexes of blood glucose, insulin, blood lipid metabolism and biological indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Liraglutide combined with insulin has good effect on improving glucose and lipid metabolism, biological indicators, and islet function in newly diagnosed obese T2 DM patients, and it is worthy of clinical promotion.
