Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical characteristics of urination disorders in multiple system atrophy (MSA). Methods The clinical data and imaging urodynamic examination of twelve MSA patients with severe urination disorders from June, 2013 to March, 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Among twelve cases, there were eight cases with acontractile detrusor, one case with detrusor overactivity, one case with detrusor-sphincter dyssynergia, one case with filling detrusor hyperactivity and voiding-phase dyssynergia (DO+DSD), and one case with normal urodynamics. Conclusion The clinical symptoms of MSA are complex, and the early diagnosis is difficult. Electrophysiological and MRI examinations can be helpful for diagnosis.
