茵陈治黄辨析

茵陈在临床上广泛用于发黄诸证，被誉为“退黄要药”。但也并非是“黄”皆宜。通过对茵陈性能、作用以及发黄诸证原因、病机、病位和特有症状的分析，可以看出，清热利湿退黄为茵陈性能之要，利小便是其祛除湿邪之主要途径；所治之黄当以湿蕴肝脾为用药之本，无湿之黄则为茵陈用药之忌。使用茵陈要随证配伍，并应有适宜的煎煮方法以充分发挥药效。

Discussion on treating jaundice by Yinchen(Herba Artemisiae Scopariae)

Yinchen(Herba Artemisiae Scopariae),which is called main herb for jaundice,is used for many syndromes of jaundice.It can be known that clearing away heat-dampness to eliminate jaundice is the main function of Yinchen and smooth urination is the main way of removing dampness by analyzing the idiosyncrasy,function and the factor,mecha-nism,location and unique symptoms.So the jaundice which can be treated by Yinchen is due to the dampness stagnated in the liver and spleen.It is forbidden that Yinchen is used to jaundice without dampness.Accombation with other herbs according to syndromes and accurate decoction should be attached more attention to acquire good effect.
