With the improvement of working environment and the adoption of effective measures in management and protection, the cases of acute occupational intoxication due to pesticides have decreased significantly. More and more attention has been paid to the health hazards induced by the long term exposure to low dose pesticides. These hazards usually happen before the appearance of clinical symptoms. So the biomonitoring of the occupational exposure to pesticides can benefit not only the risk assessment of this occupational hazards but also the control of exposure level and the prevention against hazards.
