Study on Event-related Potential in Cognitive Impairment Patients with Diabetes Encephalopathy |

| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the characteristic of event-related potential（ERP） in patients with diabetes encephalopathy（DE）.Methods A total of 39 patients with diabetes encephalopathy and 32 patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease（ICVD） and 24 normal subjects were tested by event-related potentials（P300） and mini-mental state examination（MMSE）,and the results were analyzed statistically.Results The latencies of P300 in the DMICVD group were significantly longer than those in normal subjects group respectively（P0.01）.Significant difference in the MMSE scores was found between the DMICVD group and normal control group（P0.01）.The prolongation of P300 latency in DMICVD group were related to the score of MMSE（r=-0.83,P0.01）.Conclusion P300 can be a sensitive index in early diagnosis of cognitive impairment in patients with diabetes encephalopathy. |
