Moderating Effects of Parental Rearing Styles on the Normal School Students' Mental Health

Objective To explore the moderating effects of parental rearing styles on the normal school students＇ mental health.Methods EMBU and SCL-90 scale were adopted to test 421 participants from three normal schools.Results ①There existed sex difference between male normal school students＇ parental rearing styles and female normal school students＇ parental rearing styles;father＇s rejection and denying（t=4.29,P〈0.001）,emotional warm（t=-3.17,P〈0.01）,excessive protection（t=4.29,P〈0.001） and mother＇s rejection（t=2.00,P〈0.05） and denying,punishment（t=-3.04,P〈0.01） could effectively forecast the mental health of normal school students.②Parents had moderating effects in the process of rearing children（△R^2=0.32）and varied with the sex of children（△R^2=0.33 and 0.23）.Conclusion There exist moderating effects of parental rearing styles on the normal school students＇ mental health.
