| Abstract: | 93 different types of carries were studied todetermine the pro.bability of carriership. Themethods of calculating pedigree probability,likelihood ratio and final probability (FP) aredescribed. FP is l in 31 0bligate carriers, 0.9015-0.9999in 7 probable carriers and 70.5-0.9999 in 7 0f 55possible carriers.. The authors believe that car-rier detection is paramount in genetic counsell-ing. |
