Abstract:Objective:To explore the features of reducing scattering coefficient(μs') and regional cerebral blood volume(rCBV) in striatum corpora of rats with Parkinson's disease(PD) by the near infrared spectroscopy(NIRS).Methods:The impaired and uninjured sides of 40 PD rats' striatum corpora were measured mini-invasively by optic fiber probe revealing μs' and CBV,then the data were compared with both sides of 20 rats in sham operated group and 20 rats in normal group.Results:The results of μs' and rCBV in impaired side of PD were different comparing with the uninjured side,both sides,sham operated and normal groups,respectively;there was no difference comparing with the uninjured side of PD group and both sides of sham operated and normal groups.Conclusion:The changes of μs' and rCBV in rat with PD can be detected in vivo by means of NIRS technique.
