Abstract: | Surgical techniques have now been developed to treat a variety of supraventricular arrhythmias, including the Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, arrhythmias associated with other atrioventricular accessory connections, AV nodal reentrant tachycardia, and automatic (ectopic) atrial tachycardias. In addition, atrial flutter and atrial fibrillation are not potentially curable with surgical intervention. This article will discuss the current surgical techniques used to treat these supraventricular tachyarrhythmias. |
