眼内磁性异物合并眼内炎的治疗

目的总结眼内磁性异物合并眼内炎的手术方式和预后.方法回顾分析43例(43只眼)患者的临床资料,分别采用眼内异物取出同时玻璃体注药、后期玻璃体切除(第1组)和玻璃体切除同时眼内异物取出(第2组)的方法进行治疗.结果43只眼的眼内异物全部摘出,42只眼的炎症得到控制.术后视力在0.02以上者分别为9只眼(42.9%)和10只眼(45.5%).结论上述两种方法均是有效的治疗手段,视力预后无显著性差异.

Management of endophthalmitis following magnetic intraocular foreign body injuries

Objective To investigate the surgical procedures and prognosis of endophthalmitis following magnetic intraocular foreign body (mIOFB) injuries. Methods The clinical data of 43 cases (43 eyes) with post- traumatic endoph- thalmitis and the retained mIOFB were analyzed retrospectively. Twenty- one eyes carried out vitrectomy after injection of intravitreal antibiotics and the removal of mIOFB (Group 1). These eyes were compared with 22 eyes that had pars plana vitrectomy simultaneous with an removal of mIOFB (Group 2). Results Retained mIOFBs of 43 eyes were removed suc- cessfully, intraocular infections of 42 eyes were controlled. The postoperative visual acuities were 0.02 or better in 9 cases (42.9%) and 10 cases (45.5%) respectively. Conclusions The two therapies are both effective procedures for endoph- thalmitis and retained mIOFB. There is no statistically significant discrepancy in visual acuities between the two groups.
