Abstract:
Summary The methods for analysing the EEG epileptiform activity are discussed and compared. Particular emphasis is placed on studying interictal spike activity recorded from scalp. The results of these analyses should be interpreted in terms of underlying physiological events. An example is the hypothetical model of benign rolandic epilepsy of childhood.
