| Abstract: | Paracetamol 20mg kg1 dissolved in 200 ml of water wasgiven by mouth to seven healthy volunteers, together with asingle i.v. dose of diazepam 0.2 mg kg1 or saline 0.04ml kg1. This study demonstrated that the rate of paracetamolabsorption was not significantly changed by diazepam, indicatingthat there was no delay in gastric emptying attributable todiazepam per se. |
