Reduced growth hormone response to apomorphine in schizophrenic patients with poor premorbid social functioning

Abstract:Summary The apomorphine-induced growth hormone (GH) response of 16 drug-free schizophrenic patients and nine control subjects were studied. The sub-group of nine patients with poor premorbid psychosocial functioning had a significantly lower GH response than the controls. Additional evidence for state dependent effects is provided.
