| Abstract: | Receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) are pattern recognition receptors of cell surface, abundantly expressed in type Ⅰ alveolar epithelial cells. Recent studies have shown that RAGE level increases in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and serum in acute lung injury, which is closely related with the degree of lung injury. Otherwise, RAGE are involved in inflammation activation and amplification of acute lung injury through binding with the corresponding ligands. RAGE may play an important role in judging condition, prognosis, and monitoring efficacy in patients with acute lung injury,and provide a new way for the treatment of acute lung injury. |
