A Clinicopathological Analysis of 6 Cases of Solid Pseudopaillary Tumor of Pancreas

Objective To study the clinical and pathological features of solid peseudodapillary tumor of the pancreas(SPTP).Methods The clinical histopathological data and immunhistochemical features of 6 case of SPTP in our hospital from 2004 to 2010 were analyzed.Results The ratio of female to male was 5:1,and all cases were treated with operation.SPTP was solid-cystic and grossly appeared encapsulated.The histopathological feature of tumor cells were uniform with typical pseudopailary pattern.Immunohistochemical results showed the tumor cells were positive for Vimentin(Vim),Neuron-specific enolase(NSE),Neuron-specific enolase(PR),CD56,CD10,Cytokeratin(CK),but negative for Chromogranin(CgA).Conclusion SPTP is an uncommon and low grade malignant neoplasm,which is frequently found in young female.SPTP has no specific symptoms,but has histological pseudopapillary structure.Immunohistochemistry is important for the diagnosis of SPTP.
