恶性肿瘤病人血中β-胡萝卜素的含量

本文测定了恶性肿瘤病人和健康成人血中β-胡萝卜素的含量。结果发现,肿瘤病人β-胡萝卜素水平明显低于健康成人(P<0.01),其中男性病人更为明显(P<0.01)。从所患肿瘤部位来看,肺癌、胃癌、恶性淋巴瘤病人β-胡萝卜素含量明显低于健康成人(P<0.05～0.01)。从β-胡萝卜素含量缺乏程度来看,重度缺乏者(<35μg/dl)肺癌、肠癌、食管癌明显高于健康人(P<0.01)。说明β-胡萝卜素水平与肺癌,消化道癌发病可能有关。

A STUDY ON THE SERUM β-CAROTENE CONTENTS OF MALIGNANT CANCER PATIENTS

Serum β-carotene contents of both the healthy adults and the patients with malignant tumour diagnosed by pathology were measured in Shenyang city. It was found that the levels of β-carotene in the tumour group were obviously lower than those of the healthy adults (p<0.01), especially in the male patients (p<0.01). In view of the kinds of the tumour, the levels of β-carotene in the patients with lung cancer, gastric cancer and malignant lym-phoma were lower than the control group and severe deficiency of β-caro- tene (35μg/dl) was found more in patients with lung cancer, intestinal cancer and esophageal cancer.The relationships between the level of β-carotene and tumour were also discussed.
