Abstract: | Forty-eight rats were trained for 1 h and tested the next day for 1 h on a discriminated Sidman avoidance task in a 2×2 crossover design using tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and placebo. A dose of 4 mg/kg impaired performance on Day 2, but improved Day 1 learning. It is shown that this method can elucidate some of the mechanisms through which a drug works. |
