Abstract: | To reduce donor site morbidity in the iliac crest free flap, we suggest leaving the anterior superior iliac spine in situ. The advantages are: less tension on the wound, less pain, faster rehabilitation, preservation of the ability to wear pants without braces, and a better cosmetic result through preservation of contour.
