Analysis of the vascular morphological characteristics of lenticular artery in population with lacunar cerebral infarction by HR-MRI VWI

Abstract:
Objective:To explore the number and depth of lenticular arteries in population with lacunar cerebral infarction by adopting high-resolution magnetic resonance vascular wall imaging(HR-MRI VWI)technique.Methods:30 patients with lacunar cerebral infarction in the hospital were selected and were included in the lacunar cerebral infarction group,and another 25 healthy volunteers were divided into the control group.And all of patients underwent the T1WI-3D VISITA sequence of HR-MRI VWI technique,and the image was processed by the post-processing application software Philips Intelligent portal software.The minimum intensity projection(MinIP)method was used to reconstruct the blood vessel image for analysis,and the number and depth of the branch of lenticular artery were further observed,and SPSS 21.0 software was used to implement statistical analysis.Results:The differences of the depth of the branch of lenticular arteries of left side and right side between two groups were significant(t=4.225,t=3.242,P<0.05).And the number of lenticular arteries of left side and right side between the two groups were significant(t=10.238,t=14.308,P<0.05).Conclusion:The number and depth of bilateral lenticular arteries in patients with lacunar cerebral infarction are lower than those in normal population.HR-MRI VWI technique has a certain of clinical value for the analysis of morphological characteristics of lenticular artery.
