Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of the clinical pathway management model applied to clinical teaching of cardiac surgery departments.Methods The experimental group of 66 nursing students and the control group of 58 nursing students were divided which were based on the time that they came to the department. The clinical pathway management model was applied in the experimental group. Stage to develop clinical teaching plan and deadline to complete the practice targe. The traditional teaching model was implemented in the control group. The examination score and the satisfaction of students to clinical teaching of the two groups were collected and compared. Results The examination score and the satisfaction of students in the experimental group were higher than those of the control group significantly, and the differences were statistically significant ( P 〈 0, 01 ). Conclusion The clinical pathway management model as a positive model can definite teaching objectives, standardize curriculum process, and improve the quality of clinical teaching in cardiac surgery departments.
