Clinical Observation on Compound Kushen Injection in the Treatment of Positive Fecal Occul Blood in Patients with Advanced Digestive System Neoplasm

OBJECTIVE：To observe the clinical efficacy of Compound Kushen injection in the treatment of positive fecal occult blood in patients with advanced digestive system neoplasm.METHODS：118 patients with digestive system neoplasm were randomly divided into treatment group and control group： 58 patients in the control group were given routine symptomatic and supportive western medicine treatment,and those in the treatment group were given add-on Compound Kushen injection（20-40 mL） added into 0.9% sodium chloride injection（250-500 mL） iv gtt on the basis of the routine therapy as in the control group.After treatment of 20 days,the effective rate of negative conversion of the fecal occult blood and the adverse reactions in the two groups were observed and compared.RESULTS：Of the total 118 patients,the curative efficacy in 100 was able to be evaluated,of which,54 were from the treatment group in which 25 showed negative conversion of fecal occult blood with an effective rate of 46.3%,and 47 from the control group in which 3 patients showed negative conversion of fecal occult blood with an effective rate of 6.4%,and the differences between the two groups were significant,showing statistical significance（P0.01）.No obvious adverse reactions in the treatment group were noted.CONCLUSION：Compound Kushen injection has satisfactory curative efficacy in the treatment of fecal occult blood in patients with advanced digestive system neoplasm.
