Abstract:Objective To observe expression of CEA and mucinous phenotype in endometrial adenocarcinoma, and discuss the significance and the application of expression of CEA in the diagnosis of endometrial cancer. Methods Envision immunohistochemistry and Alcian blue (PH2.5) / Schiff- periodic acid histochemical staining. Results Endometrial cancer CEA positive rate was 22.7% (10/44). CEA positive rate of endometrial adenocarcinoma patients was 18.2% (6/33). CEA-positive rates in high-medium differentiated and poorly differentiated group were 11.5% (3/26) and 42.8% (3/7), P〉 0.05, Corresponding to CEA (+) area AB (+).CEA positive rate of serous papillary carcinoma was 37.5% (3/8), Corresponding to CEA (+) area AB (-). 2 cases of mucinous adenocarcinoma were CEA (+) and AB (+) .1 case of clear cell carcinoma was CEA (-) and AB (-) / PAS (+). Conclusions The positive expression of CEA is related to whether the function of endometrial sialic acid secretion of mucus (AB +). Combined detection of CEA with immunohistochemistry and mucin histochemistry has reference value for endometrial cancer diagnosis and differential diagnosis.
