Abstract: | Spectinomycin displays a dose-dependent neuromuscular blocking activity in vivo. The neuromuscular blockade elicited by spectinomycin is potentiated by d-tubocurarine. Neostigmine methylsulfate is unable to reverse the neuromuscular blocking activity of spectinomycin, whereas calcium chloride counteracts the neuromuscular blockade induced by this antibiotic. |
