Effect of propranolol on some mechanisms regulating cardiac output

In acute experiments on anesthetized cats propranolol reduced the venous return to the heart while increasing the capacity of the systemic venous circulation. Myocardial -adrenoreceptor blockade is not the only cause, of this effect.Division of Experimental Physiology and Pharmacology, Central Research Laboratory, Academician I. P.
