Operafive treatment for fracture of upper end of tibia of high energy

Objective To discuss the effect on the treatment for fracture of upper end of tibia of high energy in opening reduction and internal fixation and the treatment of complication. Methods From January,2000 to December,2005, according to 84 cases of patients with fracture of upper end of tidia of high energy impairment fracture type,choose proper operative pathway and open reduction and interal fixation of fracture of tibia, meanwhile to treat complication. All the patients were followed up for 4 to 60 months , with on average of 13 months according to lowa score standard as therapeutic evaluation. Results hi 84 cases with fracture of upper end of tidia, the results were excellent in 31 cases, good in 37, fair in 12, and poor in 4, The excellent and good rate was 80.9%. Conclusion The way of open reduction and intend fixation to treat fracture of upper end of tidia of high enengy and treat complication would get the best effect.
