The. yeast three-hybrid system is a technique derived from yeast two-hybrid, which is the only biological method available for the evaluation of unknown interactions of biological importance existing in natural world, and it provides a technical platform for the research of these interactions in enkaryocytes. It enables in vivo genetic analysis in complex environment on the basis of simple phenotypes and distinguishable reactions of enzymes. The review discusses the principles, advantages, applications and application prospect of the yeast three-hybrid system.
